Christmas Production

Christmas production of gift hampers can be a daunting task.  After 7 years in business with this being our 8th holiday season, I must say that this is the first year that is not stressful.  Why is that?  Must be because we have some fabulous staff, the right amount of space and one very organised inventory and production manager.

It’s amazing how well the planning pays off!!

We’ll see how we go during December which is our craziest time.  I do think it’s the lull before the storm!

Christmas Quotes for your Greeting Cards

Need some ideas to add something special to your Christmas cards this year? A meaningful Christmas quote is a great idea. Why don’t you handwrite a quotation that suits your personality on your greeting card this year and send some extra special meaning this year. Here is a compilation of some of our favourite holiday quotes. We hope you find a favourite of your own:

“Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.” Charles Schulz

“Peace on earth will come to stay,
When we live Christmas every day” Helen Steiner Rice

“We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill

“Christmas… that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance — a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved.” Augusta E. Rundel

“Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall”. Larry Wilde, excerpt – The Merry Book of Christmas

“Remember, if Christmas isn’t found in your heart, you won’t find it under a tree.”
Charlotte Carpenter.

“My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?” Bob Hope, American film actor and comedian.

“Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.” Oren Arnold

“Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we’re here for something else besides ourselves.”
Eric Sevareid (1912-1992), American newscaster.

“Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.”
Larry Wilde, author of ‘The Merry Book of Christmas’.

It’s only August and YES, Christmas is here!

What? you say, but it’s only August. Have you gone completely mad?
Well yes, we must be, we are in the gift business.

We have just launched our Christmas range 2008 and are already taking orders. Crazy I know, but that’s what the organised corporate people do that have to buy alot of gifts. It is such a big job to collate all the names of their recipients and get their budgets approved. They usually order so early though because they’ve had experience from quite a few years of organising a large number of gifts that they know that if they leave it too late, their choices diminish and it’s even harder to get alot of the same thing and the last thing they want is a mismatch of gifts.

So we say thanks to our clients that like to get in early . . . it sure makes our life alot easier! And for those that aren’t, well that’s why we’re here, to make your life easier.

Basketville Australia sends gift hampers and flowers worldwide. We are based in Sydney where we also offer a fresh cake delivery service. Come visit our site some time.

. . . Oh, and I almost forgot to wish you all ‘A very happy Christmas’ – bit early I know!!
